Light Those Cheeks Up

Can't quite believe it's only a few days until Christmas but alas, here we are! While I didn't go ham with the holiday releases this year, one product that majorly stood out to me was the Smashbox Light It Up L.A. Lights Palette. This is my first product from Smashbox and it's definitely a brand I want to explore more (HEllooo Covershot eyeshadow palettes!). This palette contains nine face powders - a mix of blushes, highlighters and a bronzer - and is absolutely incredible value for money!  It contains almost 40g of product for a mere $57. That is like CRAZY good. Anyway - I'm here today to give you the full rundown on the palette! I probably left this a little late (sorry!) but maybe you guys need a last minute gift idea?? It seems to be out of stock online at the moment ( :( ) but you may still be able to find it instore at Mecca!

A Melted Merry Kissmas

I didn't get too many Christmas sets this year, but I was lucky enough to receive the Too Faced Melted Merry Kissmas Liquified Lipstick Set as a secret santa gift at a bloggers Christmas party (excellently organised by Dani and Kate - thanks gals!). I figured I should pop up a review sooner rather than later seeing as this set is limited edition - but if you like what you see, the featured shades are all permanent! I should say thank you to Maddie whose secret santa gift this was part of, but also to Sarah who actually stole this gift from me but let me keep this portion of it because she saw how devo I was haha. She's a sweetie ;) So technically, my real secret santa gift was a soap giftset from Lush which was also lovely. That santa remains a secret though - but thank you too! Anyway - let's dive into the review!

Haul // Direct From The US

When my friend Tam jetted off on her rather spontaneous trip to the US, I knew I had to get her to snag me some goodies. Even though I went on a trip to the US this year myself (and hauled quite a bit)...new things come out and my wishlist is forever growing! That being said, I actually didn't have a very long shopping list and surprisingly nothing from Sephora (shocker!). Well, I did want the Sephora Favourites highlighter set but that was sold out :( Funnily enough, this is the second time Tam has gotten me stuff from the US and the second time I've documented it! My first haul was one of my first posts on here and I'm sure you can tell my taste in makeup has grown exponentially... :P Ah what a noob I was back then. Anyways, many thanks to Tam for bringing this stuff back for me! Keep reading to see what I picked up.

What I've Been Watching #6

'Tis the season to binge watch all the shows. I haven't done one of these posts in a while so I have a few shows that I watched a while ago that I haven't spoken about yet that are definitely worth talking about! As usual, most of them are from Netflix :P  [I'm actually republishing this because I flailed and forgot to include two shows that I had to talk about!]

Monthly Favourites // November 2016

I can't quite believe we're in December, but alas, we are. It's crazy how fast this year has gone, and I don't know about you guys, but I'm not particularly excited for Christmas coming around! :P What can I say, working in retail during the holiday period really kills the excitement. November was pretty eventful beauty wise though - I hauled a decent amount in the past couple of months so I have a few new favourites to share!

New Colourpop Additions, Reviewed

As you may have seen, about a month ago I hauled some new products from Colourpop during their free international shipping promotion, which they've since extended to the end of the year! I've had enough time to try the products that I got - some of them new formulas for me - and figured I would share my thoughts with you! I have already tried a bunch of Colourpop products before which I wrote about in a brand spotlight post

Empties #12

It's empties time again, and I'm happy to say I've made it through quite a few skincare products! I'm really trying to focus on actually finishing (skincare and body) products before opening new ones, and so far it's working well. It also means I've been sticking to a consistent skincare routine which my skin is definitely thanking me for! Let's dig in, shall we?

Chloe x Ciate // Pretty, Fun and Fearless

As one of my favourite Australian youtubers, I was very much intrigued when Chloe Morello first announced her collaboration with Ciate London. Mostly known for their nail polishes, Ciate has only quite recently ventured into makeup and having tried nothing from them before - I was a bit wary when approaching this collection! I hadn't heard much about Ciate's makeup, but I decided to trust in Chloe! Everything in her Beauty Haul really appealed to me, and at $70, I thought it was a pretty good deal! This set has sold out a couple of times already in Australia, but I've heard rumblings that Mecca is trying to get together some more stock, so if you wanted it but didn't manage to get it, keep an eye out! Anyway - let's get into the review!

14/11/2016

Collective Haul // November 2016

Well, it seems like I go without a haul for months, and then all of the hauls at once! Granted, I don't think I'll be doing much shopping after this - but that's not guaranteed :P. There was definitely a reason behind this haul though! Priceline's famous 40% off cosmetics sale happened last week so I picked up a few bits. Mecca also launched their holiday collections, and I managed to restrain myself to one purchase! Aaaand, the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette came back in stock so obviously I had to grab it!

Glycolic Glow Getters

One of the ingredients that I've really come to love in my skincare-trying adventures is glycolic acid. For me, it's an absolute must in my routine - my skin would suffer without it! If you aren't familiar with glycolic acid already, it is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that works to gently and effectively remove the outer layer of dead skin cells. It's especially great for anti-ageing, and evening out skintone by lightening pigmentation like acne scars which I am extremely prone to! It's also extremely important to wear SPF when using a chemical exfoliant like glycolic acid. I thought I would dedicate a post to the glycolic acid products I'm currently using!

Monthly Favourites // October 2016

I'm freeeeeeeeeee! (from assessment). Yep, that's right - I am officially on holidays for the year! The last week has been intense as I've been wall to wall with massive assignments but I am done! Which means I can get back into the swing of blogging (hopefully!). I have a few post ideas in the pipeline, but we're kicking it off today with my October favourites. I got a few new things last month that I've been loving using - so we actually have new stuff to talk about! Though, there are still some old faves in here - classique. Let's dive in, shall we?

24/10/2016

Rimmel & Kate Moss // 15th Anniversary Lipsticks

Rimmel is once again killing it with their releases - the one drugstore brand I can always count on to come out with awesome new products! Their latest release is a particularly special one. They are celebrating their 15th anniversary of having Kate Moss as the face of their brand! It's quite impressive that she has been with the brand for that long, and during her tenure she's collaborated on some of their most popular products! I particularly love her lipstick ranges, so its fitting that the 15th anniversary collection is a selection of Kate's favourite nude and red shades in the Lasting Finish by Kate formula*!

Collective Haul // October 2016

So, it's been a hot minute since I've done a haul on here. I think the last big makeup purchase I made was the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette (which was back in May!), but my last actual haul that I did was in April. Must say, I'm pretty proud of myself for managing to stick to a spending ban - no matter how loose it was! I actually haven't been all that tempted by makeup recently actually. It's not that I've become disinterested in makeup, because trust me, I still love it! I just think I've become numb to all the HYPE! and NEWNESS!, and I also think that I've become quite content with my makeup collection. I only really consider purchasing something if I really love it, it's gotten good reviews or is somewhat unique in my collection. That being said, let's dive in!

10/10/2016

Like Music to My Ears #6

New albums seem to come in waves don't they? There have been a bunch of new releases from a few of my favourite artists that I've been listening to over the past month or so, so I thought it was definitely time for a music update!

03/10/2016

The Daily Makeup Edit

It's been a loooong, long time since I've done any sort of "daily makeup" routine post on the blog, and seeing as I've stuck to a pretty solid routine for the past several months, I figured I should update you guys! This post will also serve somewhat as a September favourites as I haven't really been using or loving anything new, just the same old shiz! I think that will change in the coming months though as I've broken my spending ban (a pretty lax one at that) and made a Colourpop order, and I anticipate I will be buying a bunch more with the impending holiday releases! I'm pretty proud of myself though, I pretty much hadn't bought anything since the Sweet Peach Palette which was all the way back in May! Anyway, if any of y'all are OG readers, some of these products might take you waaay back into the archives! I should say, I don't necessarily wear this makeup everyday but this look is typically my go-to for work (without the eye products) or long days at uni!

Dripping in Gold

I was meant to post this yesterday for "Smelly Sunday" (what a throwback series! If you know remotely what I'm on about - you da real OG) but time got away from me so...here we are on Musky Monday? (no.) Anyway, I haven't done a fragrance dedicated post in aaaages just because I'm pretty terrible at describing scents, I don't really switch up my perfumes much and if I'm loving one, I typically mention it in a favourites post. I figured I would throw together a post for this particular perfume though, because it's pretty great and it photographs so well! You've probably seen it all over Instagram for that reason :P It's Calvin Klein's newest limited edition unisex fragrance, ck one gold*.

Five Spring Nail Polishes

Seeing as spring is basically in full swing, I thought I'd better start getting in the mood for it! When it comes to spring, the very first thing that pops into my head is pastel nail polish! I haven't done a nail related post in a HOT minute, but I've still been wearing nail polish constantly (just not changing it every four days like I used to...wow I've gotten lazy!) and the pastel shades have been a go to (even in the dead of winter :P )! I've also thrown in a couple of brighter shades just so it wasn't all pastel! Let's go!

Monthly Favourites // August 2016

So we are well and truly on our way to the end of the year - mind boggling isn't it?! August has been pretty busy! Last week was assessment-heavy, but from here on out I pretty much have some sort of assessment every week which should be fun... Also - in case you missed it, Brisbane (where I live) was hit with Thor-mania! It was a bit hilarious actually, but Thor Ragnarok is currently filming at the Gold Coast and they came up to Brisbane for a few days to film some "city" scenes. They legit "transformed" Brisbane into New York City and disrupted traffic which got some people pretty annoyed but they also attracted huge crowds (me included...). What can I say, nothing ever happens here and that was pretty damn exciting! After waiting a solid few hours (in the rain!), I got a photo with Chris Hemsworth! Actually not my photo, but I sneaked in the background ;P Unfortunately, I didn't get one with my one true love Tom Hiddleston, but maybe it's better this way.... *CRIES* Anyway, I wasn't sure if I was going to do a favourites post this month because been using all the same stuff, but there were a few products that I've been using a lot that I haven't mentioned in a while!

29/08/2016

In The Spotlight // MAC Cosmetics

I'm resurrecting a somewhat "old" series today, and coming at you with a brand spotlight post! I haven't done one of these in a while and I'm not sure why because I still have a lot of brands in my collection that I need to go through and document! Anyway, today I'll be walking you through my MAC collection. MAC is probably the brand you think of when you think of makeup. It's arguably the brand with the widest range of products and shades, and one that I'm sure all of us have had an obsession with at some stage. It was only when I was pooling together my MAC products for this post that I realised I actually have quite a few of their products, but there are only a few that I use really often! Like most brands, there are products that I love and hate from them!

18/08/2016

Skincare // Nighttime Routine 2016

Hey guys! Today I'm finally wrapping up my skincare series with my nighttime skincare routine! I know that the past few months' posts have been pretty skincare heavy but I think this one will be the last (for a while!)! I must say though, an updated routine post was long overdue and I'm really happy with the routine I do have at the moment. In case you missed them, you can check out my posts about my morning skincare routine and current cleansers!

11/08/2016

Colour Families // The Berries and Burgundies

Although winter is almost gone for us Aussies, I thought I would squeeze out another colour families post featuring my favourite winter-appropriate hue - berries and burgundies! I absolutely adore these vampy purples and reds on the lips and the nails, so I have quite the collection to share with you all (plus an eyeshadow and a few blushes!).

Empties #12

I don't know how I didn't realise it, but my empties bin has been piling up rapidly! An empties post was long overdue and I have a lot of products to go through that I've finished in the past four months or so. Feels good to get rid of all this clutter! I'm pretty sure I've talked about most of these products on the blog before, so I'll link relevant reviews where applicable! I'll try to make it snappy as I've got so much to go through! If you have any questions on any specific products, hit me up in the comments ;)

Monthly Favourites // July 2016

Back at it with the monthly faves! Monthly favourites posts have been the staple of my blog - I think I've only missed one month in all of the almost four years I've been blogging! This month and last month have been a weeeee bit stagnant though. It's mainly because I haven't been buying new products (pat on the back for me) and have been using the same products for the past few months! I have been trying to change things up and "shop my stash" but I can't help that I'm a creature of habit! I did manage to scrounge up a few products with only a couple repeat faves so lets get into it! Though, perhaps next month there won't be a monthly faves - we'll see!

28/07/2016

Skincare // Morning Routine 2016

Continuing on with my skincare routine, today's post will document my morning skincare routine! In case you missed it, I wrote all about the cleansers I use both day and night here (there are so many that they warrant their own post :P ). My skincare routine is pretty convoluted and high maintenance, but after chopping and changing for a few years, I've definitely found some staple products and a general routine that works for me! I should preface this with some info on my skin - I have combination skin (pretty normal on the cheeks and oily in the t-zone) with my main concerns being acne and acne scarring.

25/07/2016

Sheer & Shiny

Although we still have a full month left of winter, it already feels like spring here in Australia! Seriously, the other day it was like 30 degrees celsius, how is that at all a winter temperature?! Makeup brands have already begun to roll out their spring releases, one of which is from Rimmel. They've released a brand new line of lipstick - the Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine lipsticks, an offshoot of their traditional Moisture Renew line. I was very kindly sent the whole range and am here to review them for you!

Not So Peachy Keen...

So it's been a hot minute since the crazed furor over the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Collection with the hype finally dying down...slightly. I figured now was a good a time as any to post my review on it as I've had it for a couple of months and have been using it pretty consistently! This review may be useless as there are a million out there already, and the palette is limited edition and currently sold out (though apparently Too Faced is working on another release come the holidays), BUT I do have some thoughts on this palette that I thought were worth sharing! As the title may suggest, I have seriously mixed feelings on this palette! I will try and articulate my thoughts concisely, but no promises - this post could be a bit of a word vomit!

18/07/2016

Like Music to My Ears #5

It's about time for a music update post y'all! I haven't been listening to a tonne of new music since my last post, but there have been a few notable releases that I have been obsessing over lately. I thought they were worth a mention and I actually really like doing these posts to somewhat document what music I've been liking throughout the year [like a musical diary basically). Do you guys ever find that if you listen to a particular album on repeat and go back to it later it totally takes you back to that time?? (like scents but music lol). So these posts are my way of logging musical memories? Anywaaaay - now I'm rambling, let's just get into it!

14/07/2016

Skincare // Current Cleansers

It's been a while since I've outlined any sort of skincare routine on the blog, so over the next few weeks I'll be going over all the skincare I use day and night! Now, I use a lot of cleansers. So much so that if I were to put these in my day/night routine posts, they would be so long! So, I'm dedicating an entire post to them. I'll be sharing with you the products that I use to remove my makeup, cleanse and exfoliate my skin!

11/07/2016

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes

Oh, the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blushes - what a throwback! These blushes have been a cult fave in the beauty community for years and were hyped up especially a few years ago, though that hype has seemingly died down. I've had Exposed for a good couple of years, and last year I added Captivating to my collection in a Sephora order. I've been meaning to write up a post about it for a while now, but kept forgetting! Well, here I am! I have already done a review post on Exposed, but in my opinion, the formulas between the two shades I have differ, so I thought it would be worth writing about (and sharing some swatches!).

What I've Been Watching #5

Sheesh it's been a hot minute since I last did a TV show round up! It's not that I stopped watching TV (that would be earth shattering), but in the last six months I haven't really started watching any new TV shows, or enough to warrant a post! Plus, most of the shows I watch were back (and uni) so I didn't have time for new ones! That being said, since my last post I have watched (and marathoned) a few new shows like Mr Robot (awesome), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2 (hilay), Daredevil season 2 (AMAZING), House of Cards season 4 (got pretty dang good in the second half), Love (pretty goodish), The Night Manager (goood) and I finished The Office (worth it)! I've also been watching Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley and Outlander which were the only shows I really cared about the past few months. Soooo...turns out I did watch a bunch of shows?? :P Anyway, here are some that I've watched a little more recently!

Shaken, not Stirred

You guys might already be sick of seeing the Lancome Juicy Shakers as they've been everywhere lately, but I figured they deserved a post to themselves! I mean, look at how adorable they are! The Juicy Shakers are a fresh take on the OG Juicy Tubes which I remember collecting as a kid (they came with GWPs that my mum and grandma got) and I used to think I was da shiz. Looking back, they were terribly sticky and sooo shimmery! Definitely outdated now. The updated version are essentially a lip oil - not sticky at all and super wearable! I purchased Freedom of Peach (of course) myself, but I was also lucky enough to win Bohemian Raspberry (A+ name) in Mel's giveaway. Thanks so much Mel! Anyway, let's dive into the review!

30/06/2016

Monthly Favourites // June 2016

Whelp, June went like that *snaps fingers*. Which is unfortunate because, that means I'm back to uni soon...*cries*. I'd like to think I've been making good use of my holidays so far but let's be real, I've been sleeping in till midday and marathoning TV shows. But - I did join a gym this month! What?! Who am I?! True story. Although I'm a self-professed couch potato, I did finally join after my mother's incessant nagging. My friend (ayo Yas) is a gym junkie so at least I have a gym buddy! So far it's been pretty good though - I mostly just do classes because the machines are intimidating lbr. Anyways - let's get onto da faves!

Remedying Winter Woes

Though it had a sluggish start, winter has well and truly hit us in Brisbane! The past few weeks have been quite chilly, and to make things worse, quite wet as well. There was crazy rain the other weekend that caused flash flooding - you'd think it was summer! Anyway, as always, with the colder weather comes drier skin! I did a similar post last year and still highly recommend those products. The products I'm featuring today are the ones I'm currently loving and are saving my drier, more dull skin!

21/06/2016

Trippin' // Los Angeles

Time for the final instalment in my Trippin' series from my trip to the USA! We end with the city of angels aka Los Angeles. In case you missed them, here are my other travel posts of the Grand Canyon, Colorado and San Francisco. On the whole, LA wasn't my favourite city! It is huge and sprawling and difficult to get around unless you have a car. When you do have a car, traffic is often a nightmare and it's super hard to find parking! Alas, there is definitely a lot to see and I'd like to think I saw a lot of the city, but I know there's probably a bunch of other cool (non-touristy) stuff that I missed out on, but to be completely honest I'm not itching to go back to LA! There are lots of cute shops, and good food places which I probably could've explored more! As a sidenote, In n Out was a total letdown for me! Shake Shack beats it hands down in my opinny. The In n Out fries were super dry and tasteless (even with the animal style stuff, which in itself tasted kinda plasticy?) and the burgers were pretty dry too and just like...Hungry Jacks? Shake Shack on the other hand was sooo delish and moist <3 Anyway - most of this will just be photos so I hope you enjoy!

Colour Families // The Rusty Reds

You guys may or may not know, but I have a bit of a thing for colour coordination - especially when it comes to makeup. I like the whole monochrome thing of keeping all elements of a makeup look in the same colour family - it's highly doubtful you'll see me mixing warm and cool tones! So, the idea of starting somewhat of a 'series' on documenting my makeup collection through colour family sort of came naturally. I mean, here's an OG post of my colour coordinating makeup skillz. So, hopefully I keep this series up because I do love organising shiz by colour. The first fam I thought I'd showcase are the rusty reds aka super warm, orangey, terra cotta reds that have been super trendy of late, and are perfect for the current autumn/winter weather! Shockingly enough, I thought I'd have more products but turns out it's basically all lip products. Any eyeshadows I thought would fit are a bit too orange, though using various shades in the Morphe 35O palette can achieve a rusty red eye look.

Bloggers United AU // Brisbane 2016

Why hello pals, it's been a minute, hasn't it? Well - I'm glad to say I've finished uni for the semester! Phew! I now have a few weeks off so I can hopefully get back into the swing of blogging - and tv marathoning :P What better way to get back into blogging than with a post all about a blogger event!? A couple of weeks ago I attended Bloggers United AU's first Brisbane event! Bloggers United AU was created by the lovely Jasmine and Nikita, and has been so successful having already hosted events in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne! The day itself was SO amazing, being able to connect with bloggers and brands alike. We also received an absolutely crazy goody bag that I for sure had difficulty lugging to the train haha! I thought I would show you guys what we got - no bragging intended obvi - in case you saw anything you would like me to review especially!

30/05/2016

Monthly Favourites // May 2016

Back here again, so soon. I want to apologise for my semi-absence round these parts the past month! I dropped from my usual two posts a week to just one as May has been hectic! I'm right back in the middle of assessment, plus it was my birthday and there were a few things going on! I probably won't post next week just because I'm currently drowning in assignments and have my one exam next Thursday, and after that we'll be free and clear and (hopefully) back to regularly scheduled program! Some pretty exciting things happened - I bought a new car! My old car (emphasis on OLD, it was legit 30 years old) finally broke down after like 5 years of being on its last legs. Parts kept going and we kept replacing them until finally it was just too costly to justify - may as well buy a new car which is what I've been saving for all this time right?? Yep, not to buy more makeup... Anyway, instead of 30, it's only 2 years old and it's a small lil zippy car and I'm pretty happy with it! But I'm broke now so the spending ban is BACK (tho obvs I made an exception for Sweet Peach). Also, yesterday I attended the Bloggers United Brisbane event which was absolutely amazing! I might do a post of the event and what we got in the mahoosive goodie bags, but I didn't take many photos at the event so we'll see. Let me know if you'd be interested! Anyway, into the goodz!

23/05/2016

Creamy Matte Lips

Like the rest of the world, I've been pretty obsessed with matte lips lately. Especially with recent formula improvements, matte lipsticks aren't as drying as they used to be and I find myself reaching for them on the daily! Luckily the drugstore is hopping on the bandwagon as well, with Maybelline's fairly recent offering of the Colour Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. These have been getting raves from UK and US girls alike, and I'm super glad we've finally got them here too! Unfortunately we don't have as many shades as the US, though the ones we do have are pretty gorgeous!

16/05/2016

Battle of the Balm Cleansers

As I've mentioned a few times on the blog, cleansing balms and oils are my favourite way to remove my makeup and cleanse my face! I couldn't live without them! I've experimented with a few cleansing balms in the past, namely from The Body Shop and Lush (Ultrabland is an HG!). I have two new additions to the collection though; Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm* and Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, both of which I've been wanting to try for ages! Since these are the two I have on rotation, I decided to put them head to head in a comparison post - I mean they basically have identical packaging too!

09/05/2016

Trippin' // San Francisco

It's been a hot minute, but I'm continuing with my Trippin posts from the USA! Today's post is all about the beautiful San Francisco! I think San Francisco was my favourite city that we visited. There was just SO much to do there! It definitely is a tourist hub and we actually arrived the day after Superbowl weekend so everything was still buzzing from the game! San Francisco is definitely a unique city to me, it has the holiday feel of being by the bay, and manages to feel both quaint and super busy and metropolitan at the same time. In the inner city, we managed to get by just by walking and also bought day passes for the cable cars. My dad's cousin also lives nearby and they were kind enough to take us around one day to see most of the sights - which there are a lot of!

02/05/2016

Monthly Favourites // April 2016

Soooooo....It's May. How the frickety frack did that happen?!?? It's my birthday next week like wuuuuut?? April was a COMPLETE blur. I was super busy with assessment and then had a couple of less busy weeks (which went by like THAT) and now it's assessment time again. Pffftt. Also there were two public holidays this month that I completely under utilised -_- Anyway, enough rambling - let's get into the faves!

28/04/2016

New In // Rimmel London

One of my favourite drugstore brands, Rimmel, has been on FIYAH lately with their new releases! The past couple of months has seen the launch of a new lipstick line, lip liner shades, cream shadow sticks, a tinted primer and a contour kit! I've been lucky enough to have been sent some of the new goodies and have been testing them out quite a bit! Keep reading to hear my thoughts...

25/04/2016

H&M Beauty

With it's launch (or re-launch, I suppose), H&M's beauty range sure made a splash in the beauty community. It was kinda sudden, especially because the range is SO huge! Their collection of products ranges from makeup to nails, body and hair - there's so much to choose from! I managed to get my hands on three things while I was in the US - I was restrained! I read somewhere that it's supposed to make its way to Aussie stores this year...but that news was a while ago and I haven't heard any updates since! I really hope it comes soon because I would be hella keen to try out some more from them...

21/04/2016

The Beauty Lover Tag

I want to start this post of by both thanking and APOLOGISING to Holly! She created this tag and very graciously tagged li'l ol' me...like 5 moNTHS AGO. It's taken me waaaaay to long to do this! There are a bunch of tags I've been tagged in that I haven't yet done...one of which is the Procrastinating blogger tag - fitting much? Also thank you to Lauren who tagged me as well! Anyway let's get into it! My answers are probably going to be a bit rambly and haphazard so bear with me! I haven't done a tag in a HOT minute.

18/04/2016

Becca's Ombré Nudes

Becca - the brand that has been taking the world by storm! I've only tried their cheek products; their shimmering skin perfectors (powder and liquid) which I LOVE, and their shimmer souffle which I'm pretty lukewarm about. Another of their hit products is their Ombré Nudes Eye Palette* which i was lucky enough to try out! As much as I think Becca has some beautiful, quality products - I'm a bit annoyed that they're an Australian brand that really hard to get in Australia. In person, you can only find them at Sephora since they pulled from David Jones. Luckily though, there are a bunch of online retailers such as Activeskin that sell Becca - and often at a slightly discounted price!

Empties #11

It's been a hot minute since my last empties! I try to get one of these up every quarter, but sometimes I just forget or keep putting it off until I finish a certain product because I'm sooo close. Anyway, this is the loot that I've come up with this time around!

Haul // ASOS + Student Savings

Shopping for clothes online is not something I partake in too often - I like to see and feel things and am always paranoid an item won't fit or suit me! I must say though, ASOS is a standby site for me. I ordered both my semi-formal and formal dresses from there! They have amazing good quality basics (and trendier items) at reasonable prices, plus they always have a tonne of stuff on sale! I should also mention, they have an amazing range of beauty brands too! Once I start scrolling, I ain't stoppin'... I decided to have a bit of a browse the other night and ended up with three things in my cart!

Haul // Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics #2

There's just one more day left of Priceline's 40% off cosmetics sale so get in quick before it ends tonight! I figured I would upload a haul of the loot I picked up yesterday in case you guys needed some last minute inspo heh. I went extra early (like 8am early haha) and managed to get almost everything I wanted! A few things were out of stock though, like the Physician's Formula Nude Shimmer Strips highlighter (why is the PF stand always SO PITIFUL???) and Maybelline Creamy Beige Colour Tattoo. So I was supposed to be on a spending ban but I don't think I went too crazy... Plus a lot of this stuff I didn't buy while I was in the US because I knew I could get it here in the sale! Justifiable enough excuse?

Lips That Stay All Day

Ah, matte liquid lipsticks. The bandwagon that everyone and their mother is on. I actually had not tried any proper matte liquid lipsticks until late last year, with my first foray into them being the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks. I picked up the set of minis that was part of their holiday collection of last year, however all of these shades are permanent (I believe!) so I hope this review and swatches is still helpful! I'd read very mixed reviews on these, it was pretty much love or hate so I was very curious to try them for myself...

Monthly Favourites // March 2016

It's that time again, and as always - it's here way too quick! March has been mostly me getting back into the daily struggle routine of Uni lyfe. MUCH EXCITE THO - we adopted a puppy! My dad has been looking for a dog for a while and visited the pound over the weekend and found one! She is a four month old Kelpie x Cattle dog and we've named her Peppa :P She will be making her Instagram debut soon (to make an account for her though, or nah?) (EDIT: I made her an account! @peppathekelpie) I'm sure! She is quite chill and well behaved, and not too jumpy or aggressive which is great - she's settling in really well! Anyway, back to the makeups - I have quite a few faves and almost all of them are from my USA haul (see here and here), as I predicted! Let's jump in!
